Love your village and enjoyed the programme so much. Do you know if Monty married Angia? We have just seen the series here in New Zealand. You live in a beautiful part of the world as we do but the earthquakes and tsunamis (another one 2 hrs ago in Vanuatu) are scary

hi – I am trying to buy the DVDs of Monty Hall’s
Beachcomber Cottage TV show but can’t find it for sale at the BBC or ABC(Australia) shops. Does it exist?I am emailing from Australia. Can you help me please?

I have just watched the last of the series and I have enjoyed it so much, I live in Queensland Australia In Caboolture. It’s 15 minutes to Moreton Bay with hand feeding of dolphins, whale watching, diving on coral at Flinders Reef with turtles and coral. It’s different but the same you are just colder and probably more remote than I am used to, Here it’s 45minutes to rainforest and amazing bushwalks, 90 minutes to farmlands flat to the horizon over the range. from where I live, thanks for a glimpse into another world. I would love to visit!

Hi guys, lovely to see this site – very interesting – do you have a list of forthcoming events in the Applecross area? We need to plan our trips north & don’t want to miss out on the craic. Cheers, L

I am inpressed by the way you have solved your fuel shortage problems. How is the project proceeding? We have a community of 3000+ without a local filling station and are keen to restore a supply that doesn’t involve a fifteen mile journey.
I look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards,
    Mike

    Hi there,
Amazing series, thoroughly enjoyed it. I was there in the late 80s, at that time the cottage was in disrepair. The weather was superb and the scenery was out of this world, you could have been anywhere in the world! Many thanks for bringing back the memories.

Briefly in the programme you played some ‘beaty’ Scottish bagpipe music, which group was that please?
Many thanks from Pete, now in NZ
